Computer Notebooks

The growing popularity of computer notebooks has spawned a variety of different designs over the last ten years or so. They have become so advanced that they have started replacing the standard desktop computer in homes around the globe. These “desktop replacements”, as they are sometimes referred too, often have large screens, DVD/CD drives, super advanced video and audio capabilities; all contained within a device that is less than one inch thick.

Small computer notebooks, commonly called netbooks, are a fairly recent addition to the world of laptop computers. These devices are designed for the casual computer user and are much smaller than your average laptop. They are primarily used for surfing the internet and word processing.

As technology advances, computer notebooks are becoming more and more compact in design. Super-thin laptops are being manufactured by a number of the larger computer companies right now, and these companies are constantly looking for ways to make them even smaller. It is not inconceivable that computers vastly superior to today’s versions will one day be small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
