Computers

The invention of computers has changed the world as we know it. They can be found in nearly every home and office, and we depend on them for everything from doing homework to sending astronauts into space. They have become an integral part of our everyday lives.

Computers are essentially machines that take inputted information and apply it to a given task, via a specific set of instructions. While originally used for computing mathematical formulas, they have evolved to the point that they can be used for almost any task. The development of the internet has only increased the popularity of these machines.

Modern computers are a fraction of the size that they were just a few decades ago. The earliest computers took up entire warehouses and yet only had the computing power of a modern calculator. Today, computers can easily fit into the palm of your hand, and become more and more advanced with each passing year.
