FAQ

Q.  Are your computers really better than Dell and HP?
A.
Yes.  We offer better performance and lower prices than both HP and Dell.  Read about why a Regal Computer is better than a Dell or HP.

Q.  Are your computers fast?
A.  Quite simply, yes.  Regal Computers offers multi-core, overclocked processors.  All of our PCs feature an i-7 processor.  Moreover, our computers also include SSDs and high performance graphics cards.

Q.  I'm interested in one of your PCs, but I would like more RAM or an additional part...what can I do?
A.
Simply contact us with your question or concern.  We will be able to accommodate your request.

Q.  What does "overclocked" mean?
A.  Overclocking is the process of forcing a computer or hardware component to operate faster than the manufacturer-specified clock frequency.  Ultimately, this leads to a faster, more responsive computer.  The speed gained by overclocking depends largely upon the application.

Q.  How does a solid state drive (SSD) differ from a hard disk drive (HDD)?
A.  Like a memory stick, there are no moving parts in an SSD. Rather, information is stored in microchips. Conversely, a hard disk drive uses a mechanical arm with a read/write head to move around and read information from the right location on a storage platter.  SSDs are roughly 10-15x faster than HDDs.  However, SSDs are a relatively new technology and therefore cost about 4-5x more per gigabyte (GB) of storage space.

Q.  What is your refund policy?
A.  Purchases are eligible for a refund for up to 30 days from the date of purchase.  Returnable items must be in complete working order and in the same condition as received including original packaging.  For more details, read our full refund policy here.

Q.  What kind of support/service do you offer?

A.  Because repairs and technical support are time consuming and costly to both us and our customers, Regal Computers strives to eliminate hardware failures.  We do this by building our computers with only the finest parts and running rigorous, non-destructive stress tests before our products are shipped.  In the rare case of faulty hardware, we are able to pinpoint which component is causing trouble, and replace it.  This lowers the risk of hardware problems significantly.  Regal Computers guarantees it's hardware performance for a year from the date of purchase.  Diagnosis is done remotely.

Q.  How long does it take to receive my computer?
A.
Orders are processed once payment clears (usually less than 24 hours).  Once payment clears, the build begins.  Once the build is complete, non-destructive stress tests are performed.  The computer is then shipped via USPS.  Our PCs are typically shipped within 5 days.
